Welcome to Churreria Mercado del Puerto, a delightful gem nestled in the heart of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Located at C. Rafael Benton Travieso, 8, this charming eatery is a must-visit for both locals and tourists alike. Specializing in traditional Spanish churros, this restaurant offers more than just sweet pastries—it's a haven for those seeking authentic Canarian flavors.
The moment you step inside, you're greeted by warm smiles from the friendly staff who prioritize service amidst the bustling atmosphere. Reviewers like Thomas Berndt commend the excellent service and the irresistibly delicious churros. For those who prefer soaking in the sun, I recommend arriving early to snag one of the few coveted outdoor tables. The ambiance enhances the delicious taste of each bite.
A standout on the menu is the Boccadillo Especial, as highlighted by Tim Strahlendorf. This robust sandwich pairs wonderfully with the signature Nutella churros, creating a sweet and savory culinary experience that beckons you to return. Patrons consistently rave about the diverse menu featuring a wide range of food and drink options, underscoring the versatility of this beloved establishment.
Moreover, the owners’ dedication is evident. With recommendations from customers like Derek Lydiate, who enjoyed his churros alongside a large coffee, you can expect not only delightful food but also a welcoming atmosphere. Even special requests, like gluten-free options, are met with kindness and understanding, proving the staff's commitment to customer satisfaction.

Best boccadillo and best churros in Las Palmas, served by friendly staff who always smile even during stressful times. I went here every day. Tip: Try the Boccadillo Especial and Nutella churros!

This is a great find. All the staff are friendly. They do a wide range of food and drink, but I had Churros and a large coffee. Fantastic. The Patron speaks excellent English, but everyone went out of their way to help. There was no problem with my wife bringing her own gluten free cereal bar ( her loss!) Called in again for a beer during the Carnival. Will be a regular breakfast place this holiday! Thanks.

It was really good, I enjoyed the canary churros, the staff was really polite, We had to wait a little bit, but it was worth it. I'll be back for sure. It's become the place where to go when I want churros, I was there three times, probably there will be a fourth time.

Stopped here for a quick snack and was happy with both the service, food and prices. We ordered some pata asada to share; the pork was perfectly cooked and tasted great. Also had 2 glasses of house red wine, which were really nice.

Fantastic local cafe to eat. The waiters don't speak much English but that's how you know it's going to be local and good! Very cheap prices. Great sandwiches and churros
